<p>so i am wondering which books the get for the following:</p>
<p>us history
biology
french
english</p>
<p>us history - REA. In-depth review, 6 practice tests, all of which probably make the actual test look like an SSAT (Eur. Hist. was like this, so US History should be as well since it's easier)
biology - cliffs, barron's, or 5 steps to a 5, it's hard to choose, but if you get all three they will have all the combined info you need to get a hands down 5...in fact maybe just getting barron's is best since it has the most practice tests too (3)
french - can't say since I take spanish, but for that I got barron's
english - kaplan's pretty good but I haven't tried them all out (I'm one of the few losers who buys nearly every AP book for practice tests as well as reading them over the summer before school...what a waste of money)</p>

<p>Well for Ap Biology Cliffs or PR, 50% of the test i remember was anatomy</p>
<p>My teacher for both the AP english's made us read and write a synopsis for one or two major works of literature that the AP uses as their bank for test questions. For example discuss the role of the anti-hero in a major work of fiction...and then they give you suggestions of works to use from a list. I read and re-wrote summaries about major works every night, for the few weeks before the test. When I got to the AP test I ended up writing about Antigone, which I had never read, but had read a summary. I ended up writing a great essay and scoring a 5 on the exam. I would definately recommend doing this in addition to buying study guides.</p>
<p>As far as study guides go, I used princeton review for all of my AP classes and they worked great. I got a 5 on the bio, a 5 in US history, and a 5 in both english's.</p>
<p>my teacher made us get benjamin cummings for ap biology, to go with our textbook..any feedbacks?</p>
