Prep For The SAT 1

What are the best books out there for preparing for the SAT 1?

Barrons is usually good in all SAT/SAT2 prep, but they do then to overprepare you.
Princeton Review and Kaplan are a bit on the easy side, but their Math/Verbal workbooks are good.

The College Board usually has the "10 Realy SATs" which is a book of ten actual tests as well as some strategies for taking the test. I don't think they have this any more because of the whole transition to the new sat and all, I think now it's called "the Official SAT study guide" and the tests are obviously ones that have not previousy been used, but still it's quite helpful. taking a lot of practice tests are the best way to prepare and get better acquainted with the test.

Oh duh! I forgot to mention 10 Reals, which is definitely the best book for preparing. But, if you're taking the new SAT, which to me seems like you are, they don't have a book like that out yet...although some sections are similar so you can still do 10 reals.

They DO have something similar for the new SAT.

It's called The Official SAT Study Guide: For the New SAT.
