Jeez. Three articles since my last visit, each more awful than the last. So, so terrible.
Heartbreaking. Prayers to the family.
Tragic and heartbreaking.
So tragic. I’m confused how this can even happen with so much protective gear. I am devastated for the parents.
It is horrible!!! Unfortunately skate blades are extremely sharp and dangerous and there are vulnerable areas.
As a hockey player(not serious, but I play everyday), this really does hit close. My teammates have many friends that have been paralyzed/lost fingers etc. due to accidents on the ice. I said it already but I’ll say it again, my prayers are with the school, family, team, friends, and any other loved ones of the student.
The Daily Mail includes a gruesome detail, that if true, explains how.
I feel sorry for all involved, either directly or tangentially.
DM is correct. Some detail from the Brunswick Headmaster was included in his email to the Brunswick community. Prayers abounding for all, especially the family.
It must be traumatizing for all who witnessed it.
The family of kid who accidentally collided with him should also be in our prayers.
Just horrible.
Anyone from the Winsor School care to share? Article about issues of gender language in a historically “all girls” school.

What’s wrong with “parent/guardian” for the adult who is the student’s legal parent/guardian???
Positive story….
That’s a neat model. Thanks for sharing story.
Ooh, I’ve seen those students around campus every once in a while. The separation is kind of strange, though; although we eat in the same dining halls as them, etc., I’ve never noticed any interaction.
Ms. Tung, the founder of the program (and an Lville alum), is also a frequent speaker at Lawrenceville during community service-related events.
I read the article, it would be nice if they had some sort of interaction with the L’ville students.
In the news……JFK’s application to Harvard and his Choate report card….the HOS recommendation is in the article, also. No grade inflation back in the 1930’s😉….I think the transcript indicated he was #65 of 110 in the class?
The application was published in the news yesterday - accessed from the JFK library. Impressive references - if you are an APUSH student, I expect you to know at least 2 of these names. Pretty impressive!
Wow - how easy were the essay prompts back in 1935…Anyone care to write your essay as the following…… To be a “Harvard man” is an enviable distinction, and one that I sincerely hope I shall attain.
