Dont we end up taking both?

Yep. Unless you are an IC...then I think you only have to take boxing.

Boxing?? What about girls? While I am sure I can handle a ring, but what do the girls get to do?

Girls do Self-Defense instead of boxing. Yell loud or you will get a bad grade. Not even kidding on that either.

physical development is a lot of memorizing lists of benefits for different things, and frequeny, duration, and intesnity of all three stages for all the different types of things you elarn about. its a lot

Wait, everyone has to take boxing? I'm a martial arts buff, is their a way to substitute? I'm sure boxing would add to my arsenal of techniques, but is there anyway I could continue with an actual martial arts system? That would be great.

Yes, there are ways to continue, I'm pretty sure there are a few martial arts clubs. But you still have to take boxing.

I am a 3rd degree BBelt in TKD, I nearly kicked a guy in boxing. ;) But you have to do it, its not so much about fighting as it is about how you do in the situation.

On the bright side, if you are a black belt, you can validate Unarmed combat one and/or two your junior year.
