preparing for AP spanish lang exam?

I have been of course studying all year (i took the actual class rather than self study) but im a non native speaker and am a little scared. im also nervous because theres not much you can do to study for a language exam a few days before, since i take it tuesday. any advice for people who have taken it/are going to take it? thanks!

Would you mind sharing any of these “filibuster words”? I would really like something to say while I desperately try to figure out what I’m trying to do on the speaking sections.

umm, I would say:
Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde nos vemos - Long time no see (useful for the impromptu convo part)
de hecho - in fact
incluso, even
por lo tanto, por consiguiente - therefore
todavia - still
bueno - (can be equivalent to umm or whenever you begin to speak)
aunque - even though (can take indicative or subjunctive – only when overcoming expectations)
aun asi (even if – accent mark on the i, takes the imperfect subjunctive)

It would probably be good to learn a couple that take the subjunctive to like
es bueno que It’s good that
recomendarse (ie stem changing) que Recommend that
sugerir que Suggest that
dudo que Doubt that

I’m taking the test Tuesday. Try to use transitional phrases in your writing and speaking. They make your presentation and essay more coherent and easier to understand.

For reading, there is not much you can do to improve at this point. Bring a watch and try to spend no more than 5 minutes on each passage. You will probably have some leftover time which you can use to answer questions you didn’t have time for. Try to read the passage in its entirety if you have time. In class tests have had two stories so far where the entire passage was imagined by the character.

@themysteriousone thats what i heard too and thats what im looking up… if you want to do well include a lot of subjunctive is what ive been told. i might throw some perfect tenses in there too for good measure.
and also, i dont really care about becoming fluent in the language, i care more about getting a 4 or a 5 :P
