Preparing for applied math

Right now, I am a freshman at a top 5 liberal arts college.. the math program here is not particularly strong.. and i found out that going to grad school in applied math is one of the very likely options that I might pursue.. there are definitely no applied math courses here.. should I just major in math? what else can I do to get into really good applied math programs? would doing physics help? transferring to another college is not an option for me. WOuld computer science or physics help? which is the better option?

Discuss this with your math major advisor, s/he can give you a list of courses to take or advise you about transferring to a different school to persue your interests.

strong mah and physics background helps a lot. I have talked with a AMATH PhD recently.
