If I don’t want to continue to do math in graduate school, what are the best graduate programs for an applied math major?

Thanks in advance.

There is so much you can do!!! Take a few physics or Engineering courses and You could get into almost any engineering, computer science or physics grad schools.

If you have already graduated, then talk to the graduate program that you are interested in and they will either suggest some classes that you can take to get into their program or they might let you into their program and ask you to take some courses at their school.

*Statistics/biostatistics
*Operations research
*Finance/mathematical finance
*Engineering or physics, if you take other prereqs
*Computer science

You could also get an MA in applied math and do any of the things on that list with it.

Or you could go the non-math related route and get an MBA, MPP, MPA, or another professional master’s. Then you could use your quantitative skills - for example, an MPA or MPP and do policy analysis, or an MBA and do finance and/or accounting management.
