Preparing for junior year over the summer

I feel really unproductive even though I’m doing summer school, so I decided it’d be a good idea to get a head start for next year.

I’m taking 5 AP classes over the school year and taking one regular:
AP Language and Composition
AP Statistics
AP Calculus BC
AP Physics 1/2
AP Psychology
Anatomy and Physiology

I want to start learning psych(I heard it was easy) and physics(I’m very stressed about this because I’ve heard it was the hardest AP class at my school) so that I can start the year off strong. I’d also like to start prepping for the ACT but I think I should be good since I do generally well on standardized tests.

Do you guys have any resources or tips regarding the AP classes aforementioned, ACT, or PSAT? Do you have any summer study plans? Literally any help would be very much appreciated!

Thank you so much, and have a wonderful summer!

Someone help please

I’m also a rising junior, and I’m studying over the summer. Lang isn’t really that hard of a class, so I’m just doing the summer assignment. For Calc BC, i already have a copy of the textbook and am going through that. Same for physics and APUSH.

You can start looking at the prep books for these AP classes, and for the new PSAT you might need to wait a little, because Collegeboard and most other prep books have not been released yet.

I am doing AP Physics 1 next year and bozemenscience.com has some great videos about the basics for many AP science courses. I know a teacher also uploads his lessons to learnapphysics.com but I have never used it. Also Khan Academy had some stuff up about the new SAT that you could use to study for the PSAT.

You don’t need to prepare specifically for the PSAT – just use books/websites for the normal SAT. AP Physics isn’t that bad if you’re willing to put in the effort! The physics classroom (website) helped me a lot

Other than get a head start on test prep over the summer, I’d honestly just relax (there won’t be much time for that during the school year, and you’ll regret it if you don’t). There’s no need to burn yourself out before the year even starts. Good luck next year!

You should definitely take a few PSAT practice tests (even though they are changing it). It’s quite different from the SAT in terms of format and scoring. And if your score is past 200 already, there is no point in taking a class because you can self study and practice. Every time I take a practice test, my score increases by 2 or 3 points.

Also, I heard the first semester of BC is basically a review of AB~ so just don’t forget all the formulas and things over the summer!
