Preppiest of the 3?

Hey guys-

I'm a high school senior who is currently deciding which school to apply to early decision. My three choices are Hamilton, Vassar, and Wesleyan. I live in the northeast and I am really preppy. Although this may seem superficial to some, I want to know where I will fit in best. Which of my 3 top schools is the preppiest? Which school has the most affluent student body? Do all of them have elements of prep or are they more laid back or focused on the arts? Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

I’d say Hamilton. Vassar and Wesleyan are very artsy, non-traditional, liberal, and quirky.

Have you looked into Wash&Lee? It has a s similar selectivity and level of applicant pool as those schools but has a really preppy reputation. I also visited it myself and really felt the prep presence on campus.

Check out Bowdoin, I think it was rated one of the preppiest. Wes and Vassar are more hipster.

Not sure about Hamilton, but I’d agree that Wes and Vassar are definitely more hipster and thrifty than they are preppy - but given the diversity of the student body at these schools its more than likely there is a large population of preps - just not the overwhelming majority so to speak.

All three have equally wealthy student bodies, but as mentioned, they vary as to how much it’s displayed (not as much at Wes and Vassar).

If you are looking for rich preparers you better add to the list. Mostly strike out there.
