Prerequisite taken senior year?

I have a question about prerequisites required for Sciences (Life Sciences.) I see on the website that an A- is required in precalc and 2 of chem, bio or physics. It also seems like only grades 10,11 and 12 are taken into account.

My daughter took Cell Bio Honors in Grade 9 and received a B+. She took Chem Honors and AP Chem sophomore and junior year respectively and received an A in both. She is taking AP Bio as a senior and is maintaining a solid A average.

Will the AP Bio class in progress suffice as meeting the prerequisite even though the class is still ongoing? She will have a first trimester grade available in December.

Well it looks like she has 2 Chem classes (Honors and AP), so she may have met the “2 of chem, bio or physics” with those two classes. Have you called the university and asked? I have found them to be quite helpful, as long as you are willing to wait on hold for quite some time before your turn!

Classes taken during senior year are considered in the admissions process since you do have to provide your final grades to the university upon graduation if you are accepted and plan on attending. I would just go ahead and apply and see what happens. The application for McGill is an easy one (no essay) as long as you are fine with the application fee. And for the fee, you can apply to 2 faculties if you’d like.

Good luck!
