In my Son's High School he can only be president of one organization in his senior year. He ran for president of both Model congress and Spanish honor society and won President in both clubs. He is passionate about both clubs which club looks better to have leadership position in??? Anyone have any experience in this??? He can become Vice Pres in the Model congress and keep Pres. postion in Spanish Honor society. Or should he just Concentrate in being Pres. of Model Congress. What seems better. What a bummer because he loves both clubs!!! Any Advice.

All else being equal (including his passion for both activities), I’d recommend that he choose the position that will provide a more active leadership experience (as opposed to an essentially honorary position). Again, all else being equal.

Tell him to choose the one that he wants to do more! It will matter little what organization he is the head of - both demonstrate the respect that his peers have for him as a leader. The most important thing is that he choose the position he is most passionate about and that passion will allow him to be the best leader he can be.
