Is the minimum gpa listed to receive this scholarship weighted or unweighted?

presumably it would be unweighted…a 3.5 weighted gpa is quite low

I believe it’s whatever your high school lists on their transcript. Our HS lists weighted GPA; yours may differ.

“If both are listed on the official high school transcript, the highest one will be reviewed.”

it’s weighted, for sure

UA uses whichever GPA is higher.

hmm…that’s weird…one would think that they would set the minimum gpa higher

i guess that’s how they evaluate course rigor then

some schools don’t weight at all. so raising it would exclude those students.

my DD had above a 3.5 unweighted, but her weighted was officially listed by her school as 6.25. alabama didn’t like that. they want a more “normal” weighted GPA. : D

^so how did you guys work that out? :)

Bama takes whatever the highest GPA that is written on the transcript…so that means weighted.

Bama also includes ALL classes…including PE, electives and religion.

If your school doesn’t weight, Bama will accept an attached note from the school stating what the weighted GPA would be…or the GC can hand-write it on the transcript with a signature.
