I am presidential scholar and I did not get assign for Birnkrant. Does anybody get reject too? How many Presidential/Trustee scholar???

They said: "Interest in the program was very high, and the number of qualified applicants
exceed the number of space available"

Are they so many this year?????

I’m a presidential scholar as well and I got assigned to Birnkrant! I think trustee & presidential scholars have an equal chance at Birnkrant - you probably sent your $45 deposit too late.

I turned in 1 week before deadline, I was waiting the Financial confirm…
Anyway, that is sad… That means sooooo many P/T this year…

Didn’t get in either. ): Sent my stuff in on the 30th, ahaha; that’s probably why…

Requesting reassignment. Crossing my fingers and praying that some people decide to move out/not attend.

There are about 250 beds in Birnkrant and 300+ Trustee/Presidential every year.

D didn’t get in either. She did her deposit around mid-April, since she was agonizing over her decision.

Where did everyone end up? She’s in Marks Hall, I think.

Ended up in Arts and Humanities, which would’ve been really nice if it weren’t for the fact that it’s much more expensive.

Our son is a Presidential and didn’t choose to put put Birnkrant among his choices - he had met a roommate and they wanted to stay in New College (is that the name!?)… is it that important to be in Birnkrant? What are the benefits, aside from housing with other scholars?

Birnkrant’s in a good location and has small floors so you get to know everyone really well.

You sent your housing deposit in way too late - birnkrant usually gets filled up mid-march.
