Does anyone know if a student has already received one of the automatic scholarships upon admission (e.g. University, Founders or Magis) and then they are selected for a competitive scholarship such as the Presidential Scholarship if they stack on one another or if you lose the automatic scholarship if you earn the competitive one?
You typically cannot stack scholarships. If you are awarded the larger one, it replaces the smaller one.
But you should certainly double check with your Admissions counselor.
I posted this on the Parent’s Forum a week or so ago: Some schools allow you to stack OUTSIDE scholarships with the school’s own scholarships, as long as the total does not exceed the tuition charges. Again, best practice is to check with CU.
