bumppppppppppppppppp
i want to know if i have a chance at a full ride

They don't give full rides (unless you also get it through grants). The best scholarship (Presidential) is worth up to half tuition.

i think you are referring to the full ride presidential scholarship that they give out to the kids who are from DC public schools right? i'm not sure what they call that scholarship exactly.. but yeah, it's from the president of the school. i have no idea what you need to qualify for that, so i can't answer your question.

but other than that scholarship, they DO give out full rides in other merit scholarships.
the SEAS scholarship is worth up to full tuition. they gave out a few of those this year. if you are interested in engineering, with your stats, i think you have a good chance.

Sorry - I wasn't aware of the SEAS scholarship.

are you sure Grkam3 that they don't give out pres. full ride scholarships. it doesn't say they don't on their website. i read on this forum that GWcolonial got a full ride from GWU.

i think grkam3 is right. presidential is only up to 1/2 tuition.. as far as i know. i think gwcolonial was referring to merit and need-based aid.

I emailed the admission lady and she said they usually only give up to half tuition but she just usually. Do you guys think I would be able to coax a full ride out of them with my grades. I really want to go to GWU, I will have to settle for a state school because parents are just not that willing to pay a ridiculous tuition at GWU. thanks

first of all, if you want a guaranteed 1/2 tuition, apply to the honors program, everyone who gets in automaticlly gets 1/2 tuition.

gw don't give out anymore money than that unless you have need, or are doing some other scholarship program like ROTC

Don't apply looking for a full ride, they simply don't give it out just for merit
