Presidents of Four Clubs - Is That Enough For Stanford?

I remember perusing a thread regarding Stanford admissions a while ago, in which a student to be even considered for admission into Stanford must be required to have at least five president positions of five clubs. As of the moment, I have only four president positions. How will I look compared to other applicants? Will I even be considered for such a prestigious institution?

Four is definitely enough. It is important to not be spread too thin. Think about it from Stanford’s perspective. Would you rather that an applicant be the President of four and sort of devoted to all them? Or President of one or two clubs and very devoted? I am not saying you are not devoted, it is just for the sake of the example.

It could be argued in either way, I would not worry about it. Four is well more than enough. It is all about the image/vibe you create.

Yeah, top schools look for depth of involvement rather than breadth.

This is completely false.

I was the president/head of 0 clubs. yet somehow I got in. . .

president of 4 clubs with lack of passion, care, or depth would be less impressive than a student who is not president of any club but takes an active role in his/her activities.
its not the number or the positions that matter AT ALL. its what they mean to you. and from your thread, it seems like you are doing it just for the title, so it doesnt seem to mean very much.

How can you handle that many clubs??? I am president of one and a leader in another and it is exhausting. We meet twice a week and sometimes on weekends. 4??? Wow!

The “president” is merely titular. It largely depends on what you do with it and ur EC accomplishment

It was five last year, this year it’s six.

^lol, thats ridiculous
