So I was wondering, which one affects the resume for residency/ carreer in the medical field more - the prestige of the undergrad or the prestige of the medical school? Here is my situation:
I went to a rigorous magnet school, fell behind in the competition, and am now going to UC Davis, which doesn't hold much prestige. I plan on working hard there and going to medical school, and was wondering if going to UC Davis would affect my job because it isn't widely known, or whether I can make up for it by going to a good medical school? Some people say that the prestige of medical school doesn't matter at all, so I was just wondering what the situation is like? Thank you, all answers are appreciated :)

Affect your job???

As in, your job application would look better/worse?

I think usually the grad school will have a bigger effect on your app. But really the important things is grades and activites. If you graduate harvard med with a 3.0, don’t expect to beat out a kid from an unheard of school who has great stats.
