Preston Robert Tisch Center?

Hey all, I'm planning on applying early decision to NYU as it's pretty much my dream school, so my application is in the works and whatnot. However, I'm still not entirely sure which college I want to apply to within the school. I've been looking around and the Hotel and Tourism Management program at the Preston Robert Tisch center strikes my interest a great deal, as I've always loved that line of business and it's something I would love to study in college.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any information on the school anywhere other than NYU's site, and they don't give a lot of student information. Is this school available to incoming freshman (high school seniors)? Is it a program worth pursuing? Is it harder to get into than other programs at NYU?

Thanks in advance for any info you guys can give :]

yes, it’s available to freshmen. a kid in my APUSH class a few years ago got accepted ED to Hotel Management. it’s actually easier to get in to Hotel Management than other programs simply because it’s a unique and specialized major that not many people have an interest in.

you can call admissions directly and see if they have any more information about the program. the school itself is School of Continuing and Professional Studies, or SCPS for short. i worked at a PR firm with someone who was Hotel Management and he seemed to be doing pretty well for himself.

new york has a lot of high end hotels. i know someone who went to Cornell’s Hotel Management school and they spent summers in Manhattan so they could intern at a hotel. they work for a hotel review site now.

call admissions and see if they’ll direct you to more information about SCPS. good luck!

hey so what would you call a cutline for hotel management is? score (SAT GPA)-wise

i don’t know. sorry. you can call admissions and ask for the averages, but i don’t know if they’ll tell you.
