<p>Drivers ed is a whole semester? Are you freaking serious? Here, it's 2 weeks long.</p>

<p>Driver's Ed is mandatory for everybody. Everyone takes it the first semester of 10th grade.</p>
<p>That's insane... What about the kids who need/want to take it early to get a farm license?</p>

<p>Well, I guess you could take it early with a another program but I still think you would have to take it in 10th grade. It is a part of the 10th grade curriculum.</p>
<p>We have driver's ed in-class for a week after school and then they call you at some point a few months later to actually drive, which you do for a grand total of 6 hours. Unfortunately, I had a bad driver's ed experience (funny now, though..) and didn't actually learn to drive..</p>
<p>It's not worth any school credit or anything, which is good because I hear most people get around a 60% on the written test..</p>
<p>Drivers Ed shouldn't be for credit. It doesn't even seem like you learn that much about driving.</p>
