<p>I come from a small high school, and no one from my school has ever applied to ND.</p>

<p>I applied to the College of Arts and Letters as an English major</p>

<p>Scores:
*2040 SAT (600 Math, 660 CR, 780 Writing- 8 on the essay)
*32 ACT (36 English, 36 Reading, 28 Math, 27 Science, 32 Writing)
*SAT IIs: 740 Literature, 660 U.S. History
*APs: only 2 offered are APUSH (4) and Calculus AB (currently enrolled)
*4.0 GPA on 4.0 scale
*#1 in my class of 12; will graduate as Valedictorian
*NM Commended Scholar (213 PSAT)</p>

<p>Extracurriculars and Activities:
*4 years varsity volleyball; 3-year captain; 2 years of time-consuming club volleyball
*2 years Student Council; president this year
*2 years as head editor of school newspaper
*3 years of Catholic youth group (250+ hours of service)
*3 years of pro-life club (70+ hours of service)
*2 jobs senior year (working 20-30 hours/week)</p>

<p>I know my standardized tests scores are low, but my writing is really good! My principal wrote one of my recommendation letters, and she told me it was the most glowing letter of rec. she had ever written.</p>
