Hey guys,

Californian permanent resident but currently in high school equivalent in England, UK!!!
Took my SATs in November and got:

CR: 690
Maths: 640
Writing: 540
Total: 1870

Writing is abysmal I know! But I can't retake the SAT reasoning test because I'm doing the Subject tests this Dec :( Think I stand a chance? Compared with GPAs...my grades are probably equivalent to 4.0

Please can you chance for UCSD, UCLA, UCBerkeley and just a shot but probably won't get in Dartmouth and Stanford?

Thank you so much! I'm in such a panicky/stressed mode >_<

I think you’ll get in… They like to accept a variety of different applicants and yours is rare and stands out because your living in a different country… Just write good essays and you’ll be fine!

I hope that really is the case!!! I guess the only problem is that I suck at essay…my 540 in writing sort of backs that up haha oh well practice makes perfect. Thanks :)

I do agree that you have a good shot at the UCs. SD is probably a match, LA is high match/low reach, and same for Berkeley. As long as you’re a CA resident techinically, you should be in at UCSD (in my opinion, unless your major is heavily impacted, ex. engineering). Stanford and Dartmouth are definitely reaches, but with exceptionally good essays, you have a shot. Don’t put off those essays! Chance me back?
