Ok so I know we must take our placement test before we attend preview in order to create our schedule, however if we attend preview in the later days like mid to end july will all of the good class times be taken. Like will there only be 8:00 am classes available?? thanks

I went to the very first preview last week. I still did not get all the classes I wanted. I had the last sign up time at my preview. They said there were spots available but they were holding them for later preview dates.

^^update…after you leave preview you have 24 hours to change your schedule online…after that it is locked and you can drop a class but not add a class. I did not know this and really messed up my schedule. I called and no one can help…they say too bad and you can drop/add on june 29 and the first 2 day of classes…I am so upset!!!

I went to the very last Preview date, and got all the classes I wanted. I think it’s gonna have a lot to do with your major, the classes you need to take, etc.

Courses are released throughout the day, and throughout each session. This is to ensure a fairness in course registration regardless of the session an individual attends. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of opportunities to change courses. Drop/add week is the most prevalent time where students have 2 days during Summer A/Summer B to drop/add courses, and 5 days during fall/spring semesters.

Additionally, if someone wants to change their course after Preview there is a specific email which can be contacted. Your Preview Staffer will provide you this information.

Good luck and hope you enjoy Preview! :)

thanks everyone!!

My advise is stay and try to get your schedule as you want it…Changing your class after preview is not easy…I sent an email the day after preview on May 19. An advisor has gotten back to me, but no changes have been made…still in the works, I hope. Good Luck to everyone!

What if uf doesn’t have my final transcript by the time I go to preview??

I went to preview in May before I was even finished with school. So I wouldn,t worry too much…maybe print off your final report card and bring your diploma if you are concerned.

So do we have to chose our professors on preview day or just the classes?

You choose the class. Don’t really get to see the section or professor when the advisor is putting in the classes for you. But you are assigned to a specific time and section. Also, with many of the lower level classes, the schedule just says STAFF. I came to preview with a schedule and sections figured out like I wanted, but what I ended up wit was very different. Many of the classes are filled and unavailable.
I spoke with someone who says they almost always get the schedule they want during the drop/add period which is the first week of classes.

Also, if you do not want online classes, you need to specify to the person helping you with your schedule. If you do not specify then they might put you in the online version of the class you are requesting.

Awesome, thanks so much for all your great info :)

If you have not already looked here is a link to the registrar. You can look at classes offered, the times, and the sections.
Once you get your schedule, you can go back and see the actual seats available in all the classes. I can see the spots available, but I cannot make changes until August 2 for Fall
