<p>For the record, you're citing a post, which is citing a post, which is citing a post on another forum from a guy who got it from a friend in Bethesda MD who works at a Borders (or was in Barnes and Nobles?) who read him the list over the phone.</p>

<p>Maybe so although the new rankings seem to reflect where things stand today.
Columbia, MIT and Brown gaining with Cornell and Duke falling a bit makes sense from what I have seen on this board. Princeton taking the numero uno spot would revive the "It's Lonely at the Top" tee shirt but lets not jump the gun.</p>

<p>Don't get too excited yet, guys. Some people are claiming this ranking is a hoax, although "leaks" have proven accurate in previous years. </p>

<p>Plus, we all know that rankings aren't everything, and that any system will have some flaws.</p>

<p>The list was originally posted on aut0admit.com and ppl there have already decided that it is indeed a hoax. Notice that schools with the same ranking are not listed alphabetically.</p>
