did anyone get a follow-up email from princeton about financial aid documents? I got one today… it probably doesn’t mean anything though since these documents are still relevant if we’re deferred to RD

@Frozengogurt I didn’t…and I’m beginning to think my app is already out the window because I’ve gotten no contact asking for anything I didn’t send in, app-wise or aid-wise, and neither did my counselor - no contact after I submitted anything other than app confirmation email, one aid confirmation email, and the time notification

@frozenyogurt @hopefulperson Neither did I am now I am terrified…

♬♪ All I want for Christmas is a Princeton acceptance letter ♫♩

I didn’t get a follow-up email either. Don’t know how to take that sign.

I got one about aid forms but I’m pretty sure that thousands of kids got that

@Frozengogurt I got one as well. Doubt it means anything either.

I don’t think that a lack of communication from Princeton since November is indicative of anything…

A school will contact you if they need something, but ideally they shouldn’t need to, because hopefully you sent in everything you should’ve. Getting an email asking for grades or AP scores or something is nice, but not getting one doesn’t mean you’re done for. They aren’t trying to hint to each person they’re accepting that they’re in; they just want to narrow down the pool and accept what they believe to be the best possible class.

What was the content of this new email?

@oneappatatime Let’s hope you’re right!

smh at my school, my counselors submitted my quarter grades even though I specifically told them not to

Did anyone else’s guidance counselor get a request for AP scores from Princeton?

only for grades

@hopefulperson My counselor hasn’t been contacted by Princeton for anything either…but I doubt it really means anything significant. It just means that we sent in all the required stuff on time! Thanks @oneappatatime for the reassuring post!

How helpful is being a female in engineering (with very high math scores and grades) for Princeton?

@mmj133 I’m pretty sure that your prospective major has no impact in admissions, but it can’t hurt. I’m also a girl interested in engineering!

Did anyone NOT apply for financial aid?
I asked my parents and they told me not to bother, because I wouldn’t qualify for anything. Kind of regretting it, anyway.

@mmj133 It’s a small boost at best, but better than nothing, I guess. I’m in the same boat

@mmj133 @gildings yay, fellow engineering gals!
@otter101 I didn’t apply for financial aid. For those of you who got that email today from Princeton, you all applied for financial aid, right?

Just to clarify, for those who are getting the FA emails, have you all indicated need for financial aid but did not yet submit a financial aid application?
