Princeton App: Fav word?

For fun:
What did you put as your favorite word on the Princeton application?

At first I put 'defenstrate' because I thought it would be quirky. When I realized that 'defenstrate' was bland and obvious as a quirky word, I decided to change it and...
Then I put 'alabaster' because it sounds cool. Then I realized that it could come off as racist, so I decided again to change it and...
Then I put 'equanimous' because it describes me. Then I realized it sounded too pretentious so I decided to again change it and...
As of now, I have it as 'expectoration' which is equally pretentious but is slightly redeemed by its funniness.

It probably won't stay long as such. And yes, I'm aware that I'm overthinking things here :P

I used ‘pedantic’- the using of big words to make yourself sound smart. I thought it was witty :p

Along the same lines: ‘lexiphanicism’

i say
happy

Why ‘happy’ when you could have ‘convivial’? This IS princeton. LOL jk =P

Unabashed.

dun-goofed

i now say
hmph

i put via b/c thats my nickname among my friends :)

sesquipedalian :)

don’t try to be excessively funny or clever. it gets old. just put your favorite word :)

^favorite word: “accepted”

awww, cjester! that’s so cute!

I put “Ambition”

nice one cjester!

pendulum. I applied last year and was accepted.

I wonder how many people actually put the word accepted lol. Or how many use words in other languages-it doesn’t say it has to be in English…

i didn’t apply but i liked this thread  i would have picked “galvanize” i love the energy of the word

Idiosyncrasy :)
