Favorite Word...

If I put my favorite word is "why", would I be following the same suit of several other applicants?

probably
don’t try to be different. I think if we try…it makes it worse

good luck!

i don’t think anyone else will have my word :)

i’m quite happy with it though…

I’m starting to think the word I put was wayyy too unoriginal. :frowning: It was more the idea behind it rather than the “word” itself… ugh

haha. “favorite word” will maybe mean the difference for 1 person out of the thousands. maybe.

HAHA. Okay, I just submitted. I chose another word. Thanks for the input!

Does it have to be english?

I wrote “Accepted” but apparently someone else also did that!
:frowning:
Some girl born in the same year as me from the same state. Weird. And it’s weird because I’m two years younger.

Whooaa. The weirdest part is, of course, that two people born in the same year should differ in age by two years ;)

Yeah, the “accepted” joke seems like it would be far too common. And I can just imagine the admissions people reading it and just groaning: “Oh, ha. ha. really funny the hundredth time.”

Did anybody write Princeton?

I didn’t, I’m just curious.

Haha someone should put “Harvard” :P

I love the word I settled on :stuck_out_tongue: Not sure what the admissions office will think of it . . . It doesn’t really have any meaning beyond my strange attraction to it :P

I put “It’s a tie between “why” and “phantasmagorical”. I just can’t decide”.

I like my answer.

I imagine they would be displeased with the F word.

“Does it have to be english?”

That’s actually a really good question, especially since the word I put was in French. I was initially going to put “listen,” but I was listening (teehee) to “Music of the Night” (from Phantom of the Opera) in French prior to submitting the application, and I changed it at the last minute when I realized how much I love the word “ombre” (“shadow” in French).

I was tempted to send “WOOOSHHHH” but It really wasn’t my favorite word =(

I put “ephemeral,” because it really is my favorite word. But honestly looking back it will probably look sucky-uppy to the adcoms  oh well.
I was about to put ‘bulldogs’ or ‘handsome dan’ and was like - oh wait, wrong school :p

^ Ephemeral is a gorgeous word. Don’t be ashamed you put it. ;)

LOLOL at “Handsome Dan”. XD

I put “empyrean”. Such a beautiful word, in both sound and meaning, IMO. <3

I put retrospect…doesnt say anything about me, just sounds cool :]

phosphoglucoisomerase

just say it.

now wasn’t that fun?
