Your chances seem pretty good in terms of your course load and extracurriculars, however your GPA seems a little low. Is a 4 an A, 3.7 an A-? If that is the scale you are on then it will reduce your chances a bit, but your SAT scores and ECs are outstanding.

@njstudent36

Good: rigor, test scores and ECs
Bad: GPA and white, male, +$200k income bracket

You need to improve your GPA and write a killer essay and get great LoRs. After that, you have a decent chance… meaning low single digits like other top candidates.

Are you applying SCEA? Legacy might give a slight bump with SCEA.

Good luck,
Psy

Thank you. I will be applying SCEA, but unfortunately I do not have a way to boost my GPA. However, I have a very strong upward trend (3.95 UW this year with 4 AP classes). I will be getting two fantastic recommendations and one that should be at least very good, and I feel very good about my essay writing.

Your qualifications look really promising, especially if you could bring your GPA above 3.9 UW. Keep up the hard work and good luck!
