Princeton ED Lounge

Yeah, in a way 'Yale' doesn't...sounds like a beverly hillbilly saying "Yell".

Haha, I'm gonna get blasted by some future/present/past bulldog for that :)

Well, the "prince" sort of helps with that

shhhh
I knew that

I can't bash Yale too much, as it is my second choice and I actually do like it...but really, I don't want to be a bulldog! I mean...it's really ugly...
Go Tigers
(My school is actually the Tigers already, but we're not orange...I want to be orange)

I'm a Tiger, you're a Tiger, so naturally, we must continue being Tigers

raaawwwrrrr

I like Yale, too--(also my 2nd choice)...still, it's fun to show some Princeton spirit (which necessarily means H or Y bashing :) )

My old school was the "Titans"..I'll be in for a big improvement if I go to Princeton...Tigers are so much cooler

Yale is really nice... I was so drawn to it after visiting. I felt bad because Princeton was so great... Yale is like that guilty pleasure that you don't want to like but you do

See I liked Yale, but like legendofmax said, i wasn't comfortable liking it. I was constantly trying to keep myself from loving it because it has a lot of imperfections for me. Then I found princeton...ahh that love is indisputable.

I felt the same way after Yale, but Princeton still won hands down...
The guide at Yale proudly proclaimed that they "only had about 65 attacks last year!"...I was thinking, "Wow...congrats, um..that was a good thing?!"

See, I was the other way around. I loved Yale for an entire summer, but Princeton became my "guilty pleasure." I kept trying to push it off to the side until I eventually gave in, did the Early Estimator, and decided to apply ED. And the rest, as they say, is history :)

lol I loved how at princeton they said that the worst crime is if some student steals another's bike to get to class...then returns it the next day...
someone else said that they worst thing they've seen happen is a squirrel in your room...
I love the idea of being able to walk around safely at 3am.
Yay for good security, but I don't want bodyguards stalking me.

Oh yea I loved Yale from February until August but that was because I didn't visit Princeton. Everyone (like my counselor) said I should go for Princeton and I tried to like it but I admit, I was superficial and Yale's website was prettier...but dang, Princeton's campus is soo much nicer. All that grass...ahhh

You know, Oregon has grass...

Yeah..one thing the people at Yale admissions didn't think about was that all the talk about security (which was 1/2 of the tour) got me a little worried about the need for it in the first place...didn't do much to allay any fears, just caused them...
That's hilarious about the bike and squirrel..I believe it, too! I was walking around campus at 11 or 12 before leaving for the hotel and it felt completely safe..way different from Yale and Harvard, which both had all these key-in entrances and bars and blue-light systems and, well, you get the gist. The adcom officer I talked to said she couldn't remember hearing about a crime, let alone a violent one...

Yeah the adcom made Princeton sound virtually crime-free... "The worst thing I think I've heard of during my time here is that maybe someone's bike was stolen... but only to get to class. They found the bike later of course." Hahaha

I just said that...

Whoops, sorry

breaking the 666 post count...ahhh, that's better...

yeah, wouldn't want to break our luck now, huh :)
