philntex, you're black as well?

I'm so happy, I'm Canadian. I don't have to deal with the whole, "Did I earn my spot" nonsense.

philntex, you're black as well?

I'm so happy, I'm Canadian. I don't have to deal with the whole, "Did I earn my spot" nonsense.

Yes, sir. I actually think you're lucky to have that burden taken off you because the whole thing can get incredibly nasty at times. It shouldn't, though.

But it also means that I"m less assured. M'eh... What are your stats?

Well if I get in, I'll make the most of it, and I'll try my best, but there's sort of a moral dilemma. My scores (as they are now) would give me 0 shot at Princeton, but because of my race, I have somewhat of a shot. I guess you can say I'm 'taking advantage' of it because I want to get the best education possible, and if a school that is as great as Princeton would, I'd be foolish not to take it.

Hey, did you guys write an essay for the "describe what you've done over the past two summers" part of the application?

Have you been under any economic strife?

My stats are in my profile. And davidrune, judging from your stats, you don't have anything to not be assured about, heh.

Exactly, MDawg. I know I couldn't turn down an acceptance from P'ton (which of course is why I'm applying ED). Therefore the only thing to do is to bring up what I consider to be the only thing lacking in my presentation. But I agree with the philosophy, for sure.

I wrote an essay for the summer thing. It wasn't that serious or structured, but it wasn't a list if that's what you were asking.

Was that to me?

Economic strife? No, not really. My parents combined make about 70k (before taxes). I do have two other siblings though (Sister went to Cheney University-now at GWU for grad school. Brother-at University of Pittsburgh). 5 people, 70k. Not bad.

Wow... philntex and Mdawg scores are almost identical. I thought I was seeing double.

I did, Bokonon.

So you're pretty much the guy that EA shouldn't help, but it does.

Haha, just about, right? I guess if he helped me in math and I helped him in verbal, we could even things out a bit.

You guys should do that.

Yeah, I think I can pull off the 800 in math. You can pull off the 800 in verbal, and we'll be a good applicant. haha

wow you guys make me feel so different.

It'll be funny, you can both both your names on the application form. And send in four letters of recommendations.

The adcoms will be so surprised, they'll give both of you admission.

Why do you feel different?

I like this lounge

because i'm not a black guy? lol

It's not all roses.
