I sent Princeton the only financial documents I can provide, my dad's balance sheet and mom's individual tax return, both for 2010. I then received an email that they can't use 2010 info, and that I should submit 2011 tax returns when they are available. I replied saying that they are only available in April (after decision time), and that we also don't file taxes, and the documents I have are the only ones I can send.
They email me again, saying to send my 2011 tax returns when they're available.

My question is, are they trying to tell me that they won't consider me for financial aid, or were they just not paying attention to my email? Should I contact them again and risk angering the Force? Thanks!

You should call them directly and explain the situation. They will then tell you how to proceed.

I’m sure they’ll wonder why you don’t file taxes. It is certainly possible they may not provide financial aid without the taxes or some sort of verifiable information.

We don’t file taxes as it’s not common procedure in Romania :\ Mom’s tax record from her employer has all her financial info on it, taxes paid, deductions and so on, so it can be used to verify the information provided. Also, dad’s balance sheet has all the numbers in it that I used on the Profile… I don’t know why they wouldn’t be able to use them, they are the only school to tell me that!
