Princeton Interview Notification

Hi everyone! I applied to Princeton through RD about a month ago. I recently received an email from the Undergraduate Office of Admission about my upcoming interview and to expect an email from my interviewer. I asked several of my friends if they had the same thing, yet no one else has received emails from the office. Is the email notification directly from undergraduate admissions a good sign or am I just reading into the situation too deeply? Thanks!

You’re probably overthinking it, which is perfectly understandable. Try to relax, take it easy, and enjoy the ride!

I think it’s pretty standard that the first email notification from Princeton comes from the UA office, and very soon after the RD application period ends. Good luck!

You’re overthinking it- Princeton tries to interview all applicants.

I wouldn’t worry too much about when the uaoffice sends out that notification. My friend who applied early got that email on Nov 2, while mine didn’t come until Nov 8. The timing really depends.

It doesn’t mean anything. It’s a standard notification.

I think everyone with an alumnus in their area is offered an interview. Because you applied early, you were probably contacted early as well.

My child got the same thing. Someone already contacted them and they are having an interview very soon. I think it is all standard. Good luck!
