that stinks. i still haven’t got anything. perhaps they are simply shortening their list of potential students?
@yen098, do you have any prior research experience? In previous thread someone mentioned that they prefer students with some research experience.
i do have some research experience. We’ll see if it means anything, after hearing about the bias they have towards the more well connected applicants
Agree.my twins also have some research experience. But it doesnt mean anything if all opportunities are filled. Which one you applied for?
I applied in natural sciences
My twins also applied in Natural sci
Rejected today at 2:54. No prior research experience, so it was expected. Plus I already paid the deposit to another program. Oh well! Good luck to everyone still waiting!
How many opportunities are there?
You can check on their web. https://research.princeton.edu/about-us/internships/laboratory-learning-program
No rejection yet! Just a note that you don’t need previous experience to be accepted. I know people who have gotten into the program with 0 experience - just a good written response. They want to see someone who is truly interested in the research
I know a kid that didn’t have research who got in as well. He won a bunch of science competitions and had excellent grades, so even though he didn’t have research, he had a lot of merit.
would you guys consider being in a lower grade an advantage or a disadvantage for applicants?
I dont think it matters!
anyone get rejected from the LSI ones yet?
There are couple of rejections as per previous responses… My D has applied to LSI. Nothing yet
has anybody even gotten an interview yet? sometimes they do that
I searched up previous years threads and noticed that whonever got accepted, they got email or interview in late April. Waiting for rejections to come.
Rejection received for one D. She applied for MOL. Awaiting for second rejection.
its amazing how nobody has reported an acceptance still. Perhaps none of those who were accepted are on this thread? idk
@yen098 I was accepted for PHY-01 today. There’s still hope!
