Princeton or Yale

Hi everybody! So first thing’s first, I feel so lucky and blessed to have the options I have regarding college! So I have the difficult choice to make of Yale or Princeton for where I attend school next year. I want to most likely be a molecular biology major if that matters at all. Which college would be better for getting into med school? I know that Princeton requires a senior thesis and junior papers and that their average gpa is a 3.3 compared to Yale’s 3.6. That all makes Princeton extremely intimidating academically and I’m not sure if Yale would be a better choice because of the lessened workload. I know Yale would still be a lot of work but there isn’t grade deflation like there is at Princeton. There is a lot to consider so I am hoping I can get some help. I thought Princeton was my first choice and I got in there early but then got into Yale on regular admission and now I have to weigh my options! Thanks in advance for all you help!

Fwiw, @turbosloth , Princeton reversed its grade deflation policy a couple years ago.

Have you visited either college? I would go with Yale, since you will have a higher GPA and more time to study for the MCAT.

I think the two schools have pretty distinct personalities so go wherever you feel most at home. Congratulations on your amazing options.
