"Princeton" paraphernalia

Princeton students and alums-- my son is an incoming freshman and I'd love to get him some Princeton T-shirts, polo shirts, and Pton stuff to decorate his room. The P.U. store seems a bit pricey, so I was hoping you can help me find some other websites, or stores to buy gear. We live in NC, so I'm hoping I can order on-line or shop when we drop him off in September. Our local Bed, Bath and Beyond carries tons of stuff for Carolina, NC State, and Duke--does the Princeton BB&B carry Pton stuff? Any advice would be appreciated!

there are many stores in the princeton area that sell unofficial princeton gear, but none of them have websites...to my knowledge the bb and b in the pton area does not sell the gear. If you want my opinion, the u-stores prices are quite fair, especially when your son purchases the lifetime membership (which will come in handy in the future)- and at least this money goes directly back into the community in which your son will live for 4 years and be in touch with for the rest of his life.

I've seen http://www.landauprinceton.com/ tossed around as a cheaper alternative.

When I was visiting on an overnight a few months ago, I was really excited about buying stuff too, but the freshmen I stayed with advised me to only buy 1 shirt and 1 sweatshirt for now since once school starts, free Princeton wear is given out. A lot.

Your absolute best bet is to go with what quirkily suggested. Landau is a great place to buy Princeton gear, and easily the cheapest you'll find around (I didn't even realize they were online, which is perfect for you).

All of my Princeton stuff is either from here (a t-shirt, hat, and sweatshirt) or I got for free from the department (two Princeton engineering t-shirts, one Princeton graduate school shirt). I did buy a polo from the PU store.

Check out http://ivysport.com/category-category_id/115 for more stuff.

Edit: Please never purchase this: http://www.ivysport.com/product-product_id/106/category_id/151

I've thankfully never seen anyone wearing this, but it's literally one of the most arrogant t-shirts I've ever seen. I'd be embarrassed for the whole student body if I spot someone in it.

I’m surprised no one has made a Princeton because not everyone can get into University of phonix online shirt. Ive seen yale students with them Its refreshing to see Princeton students are not so pompous (another reason I hope to get in next year). Princeton colors look quite nice actually.

Actually, despite my earlier comment, that's sort of funny...

I know MIT has shirts that say something like "MIT: We're Not that Smart, You're Just that Dumb."

^^^^^HAHAHA that's funny...

Well, I just ordered some stuff from the PU store - i wish I had known about the cheaper alternative. Oh well...

wow that MIT shirt is a little harsh huh :)
I still like the one that says "MIT: because not everyone can get into Caltech" ;)
