Princeton question :)

Hello everyone!

Thank you for reading my post.

My main question is, do you think I have a chance at getting into Princeton? If not, what schools would be good for me? I am mainly looking into the New England area because my parents want me to stay relatively close to home.

I am a Junior in high school and my current gpa is 3.7. I am very involved in community service and I am in many clubs in school. I have been involved in school/community theatre every single year of high school and I plan on being in senior year productions. I am going to be getting letters of recommendation from two Princeton alumni, my German teacher and my school counselor. I am on the crew team and I plan on continuing it in college. I will be going to the Princeton crew camp this summer.

My classes for senior year are..

AP British Literature
Dual Credit World Civ.
Dual Credit WW2
Advanced Alg. 2/Trig
German 2 (finished up Spanish last yr)
Marketing/Communications

I have a job at a local coffee shop and I am a camp counselor at my church. I also have an internship at two resorts near my home for wedding planning.

I want to major in business/political event planning at Princeton.

Princeton is one of my "reach colleges". I have other colleges in mind but every since I was little, going to Princeton was a dream for me. I love the history of it and the area it is in. I can also take a train from my house to get there which is pretty neat! :)

Thank you so much in advance for all of your feedback. It means a lot to me!! :)

Your GPA has gone up 0.1 in 6 hours. By the time you need to apply to Princeton it will be HUGE… You are a cert!

Meh, don’t worry about parents. College is time for you to do what is good for you…

Ah, just read your post on the other thread asking the same question… Your GPA hasn’t magically increased. Ah well. Not a cert then

Hehe thanks for seeing that! I had to make a new post incluiding all of the info into one spot! I figured it would be too hard for people to look all over for everything I was writing. Sorry it’s a bit confusing. So are you a college student?

Na, applicant… Probably Yale (scea) this aug.

As for you, without SAT scores chances are even more unreliable than usual… Just keep on with life and apply.

Thank you for your advice! Your the only one who wrote back! Haha. I’m taking my sat in May and I’m taking a prep class so hopefully that should help. And Yale! That’s great  what other schools are you looking into?
