yeah this might have been asked 4 tha millionth time but i caint find a similar thread so ima ask it again. are princeton review's critical reading and writing sections (especially in the prep course for those who have taken it) tougher than the real thing? i usually score a lot higher on the CB BB tests than what PR gives me. and im not looking for no "you should only use the real thing" crap, im just wondering whether my score disparities between the two review companies are justified. has anyone else had the same experience? thanks.

no “you should only use the real thing”

eh nevermind…

glad that’s over

I sent you a PM regarding this question.

thanks, Mega. as 4 tha rest of you, haha u guys r the biggest d ouchebags ive ever seen! its hilarious how u caint get a life and gotta act like my out of place question’s that big a deal. bigb14 is tha biggest puzzy i’ve ever seen haha.

After you see this question for the millionth time, you’ll probably be a little snippy too. :)

I could care less what you say of me. I know better than to take offense from people like you.

Oh, and by the way, I’m willing to bet that my SAT score is higher than yours. The reason is because I didn’t use PR.

Ciao ;)

But really, just for the funsies, can someone answer the question just this once? Maybe if there were a thread out there where someone answered the question, people could at least search it and find out the answer without having to ask for the 100000001th time

haha iz that wat u think bigb? theres sumthin tellin me that u got no chance against a 2300 (700 CR, 800 M and W). yeah i got this my second sitting, cuz i made stupid mistakes the first time, but i got no reason ta hide my score from u haha!

Oh for sure those CR and Writing questions must have been incredibly easy for someone with such nonpareil linguistic abilities.

@Rish
- you copied that score off of my SAT thread… it’s on the 2nd or 3rd page.
- My SS is 2330 (730CR 800M 800W) single sitting is the same as you (I’m willing to bet money you didn’t actually get that score).

comes from rap, man. i bust out rhymes using Fruity Loops Studio 8 XXL Producer’s Edition. if only u could hear me u wuda taken that “linguistic abilities” line back haha.

plus, man, looks like everybody wanna piece of me today! even this akrana’s joinin in on this.

well ill tell u big, props 4 that score. and come one, “willing to bet money”? please don’t insult me. wait a minute, i gotta go to some USTA tennis league champship thing right now. id love ta be spendin my summer arguing bout SAT scores, but i just dont have the time. sorry 2 disappoint, man

@Moxess: While this specific permutation of the question may not have been asked before, the general principle remains the same: third-party tests are unreliable because they are not made by the company that produces the real test. The OP is unlikely to find an answer here because the vast majority of posters on this forum realize that PR is useless.

I know they’re unreliable, but are they generally more difficult? I understand all of these explanations, but FOR THE SAKE OF MY OWN CURIOSITY I’d like an answer. The way everyone around here talks it’s like they know the answer but are hiding it or something.

That’s because the only thing that people can agree on is the fact that the tests are unreliable. To the question of whether or not it’s harder, it’s really a subjective question; people will disagree on whether it actually is. Therefore, it is futile to ask for a viable answer to your question.

The fact that this question gets asked so many times seems to suggest that there may be a reasonable consensus though

Ok. This thread is really getting out of hand now. I took a Princeton Review course this summer and my scores on their 4 practice tests were from around 1700-2000s. Later I took the first test from the BB on my own and scored a 2125. So I guess you can say the Princeton Review’s tests are slightly harder, at least in my situation.
