Princeton Review Practice ACT Exam?

Is this test a real ACT test that has been given before and had an actual curve? I've done English and Math and FWIW, I got a 31 English (70/75, -5) and a 33 Math (56/60, -4). Are these results comparable to what I will get when I really take the ACT (because I would be thrilled!!!)? I hear most practice tests are either too easy or too hard, and there's no perfect one, but does the Princeton Review one come close?

From my experience, the ACT review material from PR is extremely comparable to the real thing. They are great practice. My score went from a 29 to a 32 using their practice tests.

Cool, thanks.

And even better, they have detailed explanations for each answer so you can clearly see what the test is like and what the questions are getting at.

Does anyone know if the Kaplan Premier ACT book is similar to the real ACT test?

I had a not-so-good experience with the Kaplan ACT books. I hadn’t taken it before, but I was scoring 35-36 on their practice tests on ALL the sections. I originally had issues w/ science and reading because of time, but managed to fix that. I thought I was ready for the actual ACT.

I had a cold when I took the ACT, but I didn’t think it would be too detrimental. I finished all the sections, but had to rush in the math section (which is usually my easiest). I ended up with 31s in reading/science, and my other two scores were between 32-34. While this is not bad in itself (I did improve a little), my scores were drastically lower than the Kaplan predicted test scores. I thought the Kaplan tests were too easy…I don’t recommend them.

Kaplan is only good for those scoring in the “average range”. If you have a 26+, you should look elsewhere for decent test prep material.

I got a 26 in September
E-27
M-28
R-24
S-23

I’ve taken practice tests since in princeton review and one in the red book and i’ve gotten low 30’s in math and english (a 34 once in the red book on the english). Now i want to focus on raising reading and science. Should i just continue studying with princeton review and other practice tests, and disregard Kaplan all together.

p.s. taking ACT in FEbruary. thanx for all the advice.

Are the online Princeton Review sessions for the ACT worth the money?

I have heard they are helpful, but never used it myself.

Okay, Thanks!
