Princeton Review - SAT2 Physics

I've got PR SAT2 physics Aid book for 2003-2004. In this book, it includes 2 model tests and 17 main topics that generally cover the test for SAT2 physics. I wish to know if this book is what you need to gain a comprehensive knowledge on SAT2 physics? how would you rate it? thanks!

An add-on question...how similar are PR's tests for SAT II to their tests for AP Physics B? (Sorry to steal your thread, tenniscraze.)

To answer tenniscraze...yes, the PR book is really good for physics. It's definitely the best one out there and it's all you need.

conker...the AP book covers the B and C exams so it's a lot fatter, but I haven't gone through it yet (I have both the SAT II and AP ones) so I don't know the real differences. The TOC looked pretty similar, but I don't know the differences yet between the tests. A friend of mine has already taken both so I'll ask him.

PR book for AP Physics B is in toooo much detail and is a lot harder than the actual test. I got a 4 after studying off of the PR on Sunday before the test.

Thanks Lilian

Hey, dude, sorry it took me so long to reply...finally got an answer from my buddy...the tests are actually pretty different, so if you're taking both you should get both books. The AP Physics B Exam has 70 multiple choice questions, plus 6-8 in-depth, free-response questions (where you actually write out the steps of your solution). It's a 3 hour test. You can't use a calculator on the multiple choice part but you can on the free response stuff. The questions are harder than the SAT II ones and have more math to them.

The SAT II test has 75 multiple choice questions that you have to do in an hour. You can use a calculator but the math is simpler. They don't give you any equation or information tables.

So yeah I would get both books if you're taking both because they're so different. You should take practice tests for each.

Hope that helps.

PR helped me get 800 on the real thing, it's the best

thanks guys
