Recently I’ve been researching college programs for high school students such as myself. I’m a freshman and my birthday is in late July, so some programs aren’t available to me due to the fact that I’ll be fourteen still when attending most of this programs. I am looking at the JSA and SIG programs at Princeton, both offering financial aid and a three week stay in the dorms. The pros to going to the JSA program are that they have a strong law program (I want to be a lawyer) and there will be many well-known speakers (like Brian Williams in past years) in that program. It is also about $400 less expensive than SIG. SIG doesn’t offer many classes where the law is involved, some being downright questionable, like Just Dance class. Although, I believe I’d be in better company because of needing to be a 95 percentile test taker to get in. Finally, this doesn’t matter much but it is just a bonus… the SIG program has more recreational activities for after class which will make it more fun. Please help me decide or correct me if I’m wrong. Does anyone know if JSA has lots of recreational activities as well? Thanks and I hope to get a response!
