Princeton University Class of 2016 SCEA Thread

@canada89: I’ve just been watching and reading this thread for the past two days. I just wanna let u know your not alone bro; I separated my shoulder in a hockey game too haha. I wish u a speedy recovery :)

and I’m nervous about tomorrow :)

I hate how the more I don’t want to think about it, the more I keep on finding myself going college confidential only to freak out even more :(

I am most likely going to apply to Princeton! I think they would be interested in my 25 regional, national and international awards in piano performance and composition that I have won over the past three years. ^-^ #kangaroobrobragging

In all seriousness, I think that it would be a good place for me to apply to (especially for musical composition).

@canada89 and ewq5555: That sounds very painful! Feel better soon!

To everyone: Good luck tomorrow!

Yes, good luck to all who applied EA!

Good luck everyone! ahhhhh less than 21 hours
personally i have no expectations at this point, but hey there are other great schools to go to, right?

ahh the countdown is really driving me crazy

Going INSANEEEEEEEEEE. All of my best friends have gotten into their top choice schools, and while this is wonderful, it makes me all the more worried! I wish you all the best of luck tomorrow - whatever happens, happens for a reason! :D

I had a dream that I was accepted into Princeton, but had to major in music. I decided it was a worth it, and then all of the professors were famous musicians who were dead. And, of course, I could not find anything wrong with this scenario, and woke up realizing that I had not been accepted. :/

Good luck to you all! It is scary, but you are all very amazing people who are going to be great and successful anyway… it’s just hard to see that in the moment. I kinda wish I had another week to mentally prepare myself for the worst, but obviously that won’t happen.

So if yall don’t get into Princeton (which I hope I along with the rest of you do), what are some of youre other top choice schools?

Haha Dreaminapples I actually dreamed about Princeton too! I woke up from a dream within a dream, and I knew that I had gotten accepted but then I realized that I had been dreaming and was upset, but then I actually got accepted, but then I woke up for real and realized that it was all a dream D:

MIT, Johns Hopkins, CMU, Penn, Caltech

@plzprinceton, nice name, haha
Anyone know if we get letters in the mail tomorrow too?

They send them in the mail tomorrow, so we probably won’t get them for a couple days. Though I won’t be able to check my mail until January. :(

I’m looking at Williams, Amherst, Dartmouth, and Brown.

The website says “Dec. 15: Early Action admission and financial aid decisions mailed and made available online.” So I’m guessing we’ll get our letters a couple days from now?

And my top choices other than Princeton are Duke, Yale, and Brown but I have a lot of schools that I like…it’s just love with Princeton haha.

Im looking at UVA, UNC WashU, and Emory

I’ll send out apps to Yale, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Duke and Vandy. That is, if I do the extra work for the MIT and Stanford apps. The other supplements are all </= Princeton’s

Things will be as they’re supposed to be. Hopefully all of those classes you each excelled in were for the love of knowledge…and all of the EC’s were for the joy of participating…and the community service activities were for the humility of helping others, because then even if you are rejected, your character remains intact because your motivations were of good intent and always sincere and not just for putting together a resume. That’s who I would want on my campus. Good luck to all.

@Eagle1234
I’m also looking at UVA :slight_smile: I applied there early
But if princeton doesn’t turn out, i’m also planning to apply to UPenn, Columbia, VTech, and George Mason (as safety)

GOOD LUCK TO ALL TOMORROW! :]
