Princeton University Class of 2016 SCEA Thread

Around 4 more hours! Is there any thread already to update the decisions and the statistics?

4 hours to go.

Goodness I’m a flipping nervous wreck. I keep checking the notification page and the application tracker page like it’s going to miraculously let me see the result. 3 hours and 45 minutes left. Im just going to try to push it to the very back of my mind until 3:55 or something. lol. Good luck everybody!
"At the end of the day, everything’s going to be all right. " <---- Crap advice my physics teacher gave . jk. He’s great. But yeah. We’ll make it!

I’m actually kind of happy that the decision is going to be posted right after 4 - that way, I’ll be occupied in school until the decision. I think getting yourself to focus on other things is easier than trying to watch the clock as the minutes tick by, silently contemplating your fate. It’s a fixed interval of time. I keep telling myself this. But I’m still freaking out as well, so distraction is necessary, haha. :)

Yeah I wish I could be at school too. But I have a half day schedule this year
I’m currently at my internship but everyone’s mysteriously M.I.A so know I definitely have no distractions until 4. Sigh.

I’m in study hall haha. This is going to be the longest hour of my life.

Does anyone else kinda dislike having such a specific time? It’s like waiting for a slap in the face—it’d almost be better if it came randomly (cf. How I Met Your Mother).

Legendary! ;)

This confirms my belief that all Danes are… legendary.

Ok, I’m starting to get freaked out. My notify.princeton.edu page has always said “Admission decisions are no longer available online.” instead of what others are seeing about the decisions being released, but i figured mine was just messed up and would change later> I looked at it at school today and it had the message about decisions, so I thought it had become normal but now I’m home and it’s still the "Admission decisions are no longer available online. " thing! Am I going to be able to get my decision?! Is this happening to anyone else?

aaand never mind, I just refreshed and it changed haha. Websites really do despise me.

Oh no! My app tracker now says,

“The Princeton Admission Office has received your application.
Checklist information is currently not available. The checklist information will be available to applicants between September 01, 2011 and December 15, 2011.”

Does this mean my account has been moved to a regular decision one? Does this mean I was deferred?

Nope it’s all good person, everyone’s changed to that today. For your decision, you have to check https://notify.princeton.edu/</a> after 4:00 :)

Oh ok thanks!! So very nervous right now…

[Princeton University - Princeton offers early action admission to 726 students for Class of 2016](<a href=“Princeton offers early action admission to 726 students for Class of 2016”>Princeton offers early action admission to 726 students for Class of 2016)

Hmmm… so a 21% acceptance rate. Not bad… makes me a little more optimistic.

Then again, only 42 states are represented—since I’m from a relatively small state, this makes me fear deferral. :(

21% acceptance rate?! That’s better than I expected. Aah now I’m getting my hopes up even more now but I really need to stop!

Yep. Better than Harvard’s 18%.

i just keep trying to tell myself that there are a number of places that will be great for me, and ill be happy no matter what, but GAHHHH… so much stress!!

oh my god. 12 minutes.
