Princeton University Class of 2016 SCEA Thread

My plan is to sleep the time away and wake up at 4pm tomorrow.

haha, thats what I would do if I could. that’s actually when I wake up some days in the summer.

I’m actually in Las Vegas with my family right now, which is two hours behind my normal schedule, meaning I get results at 1 pm heere.

I plan to sleep away until noon at the very least, then pray and alternate between jumping, hugging my mother, crying, etc, until it’s finally time.

Oh, and on colleges. I actually just got accepted to my second choice (I think I mentioned it in this thread before? I’m too lazy to check), University of St. Andresws in Scotland. But I might still apply to yale, columbia and tufts. I already applied to Claremont Mc-Kenna and Jacobs-Bremen as well.

I wish I was on break already…I have to go to school tomorrow and around the time I get out, my decision will already be availableee

Oh and it’s officially Thursday!

the longest 13 hours in my…

Anyone else’s application tracker thing change a little bit?

yup it seemed to change only slightly though. It says the checklist info isn’t available.

Only about 8 hours left to go !!!

yeah! it was like “checklist is not yet available”…that could mean anything!!! $#%#^$%#

Yeah it changed. Let’s not go into a three page discussion on how it may or may not correlate with an admissions decision.

Harvard reported an 18.25% acceptance rate for Early Action. Does anyone know if Princeton has released any numbers yet?

So this is kinda random but I just woke up from two dreams about Princeton, one where I got accepted and the other where I got rejected. Both seemed pretty realistic. At this point, I’m just like: I don’ t even know…

Good luck later on today, guys! Only a couple of hours left and we’ll all know for sure! O:

Is it only 6 hrs or is that 7 hrs left. Do post the gmt when results are out. International.so.

Okay guys - we’ve still got a good amount of time before the results come out. Right now, everyone’s nervous and in need of DISTRACTION. So, let’s get to know the possible future students of Princeton. Favorite movies? Hobbies? Quotes? Let’s start some awesome discussions (because, as we all know, those who applied to Princeton are awesome people to begin with) to help the time go by a little faster.

^I second that.

Of course, everyone knows that the Lord of the Rings trilogy are the greatest movies ever made.

I love LotR! At my high school, our bell system is actually music that they play inbetween classes (when the music shuts off you know you have about one minute to get to class). Students bring in playlists, so we’ve had soundtracks from a bunch of awesome movies. I think this week they’re playing Star Wars - people going down the hall with the Imperial March playing, good times.

@khittee: where are you from?

@SingofArms: your school is awesome :O

Just bought/prepared acceptance/rejection kits. The former includes sparkling cider, while the latter includes prodigious amounts of ice cream. Of course, I’ll probably end up eating both either way. :/

Amen.

Wow, that sounds awesome. What kind of crazy school do you go to?

Request: let’s not fill this thread with that. Let’s keep it informative. You can find pages and pages worth of favourites discussion on the hodge podge thread.

@ dancingjuicedesu: My school’s really the only one in my area that has music playing instead of the regular bell - I’m actually surprised that the administration went along with it. I think the deal was that they never installed actual bells, just a speaker system, so they could either do the regular tolls (read: pay for an official sounding bell noise), or they could have students bring in music and have fun with it. Needless to say, I’m happy with their decision.

At this point, there’s not a lot of factual discussion left. It all comes out in a few hours, so we might as well enjoy ourselves while we can.

I am so jealous of that school.
