***PRINCETON UNIVERSITY R.D. DISCUSSION CLASS OF 2019***

S accepted.

@cvisser96 Same Here! It just doesn’t seem real!

WOW today was definitely a whirlwind. Some of you might remember me from the Princeton SCEA thread! I was deferred (SO DEVASTATED in December) and today I was rejected! However, I am so blessed to have been accepted to Yale, Columbia, UPenn (University Scholars w/ Likely letter), and Stanford. I am not bitter about the rejection; Princeton will always hold a special place in my heart as the school I fell head over heels in love for. CONGRATS TO ALL THOSE ACCEPTED!!!

Although I have not made my final decision yet, I am 90% confident that I will be a Bulldog this fall

Boola boola!

@Ambitious19 I was just wondering how things turned out for you! Thanks for posting your results. Yale will be lucky to have you…Princeton’s loss! All the best!!

Rejected. Stings, but I’m so blessed to have other choices. So long Princeton and congrats to those accepted!

Accepted! I’m truly shocked. Princeton was the only Ivy I applied to, and I didn’t give it much thought after I applied, as I was absolutely convinced that I would not get in. The aid I received was also by far the best out of any schools I got into… Well. This shakes things up a little for me…
2340 sat, 4.09 UW GPA, but nothing really amazing about my ECs! Lots of sports, but not a recruit. Some leadership roles in school, but not outside of school. URM. I guess anything can happen!

Accepted with zero aid:( Any Merit scholarship can I apply to?

Rejected! My parents made me apply east coast even though I don’t want to leave California so I’m not bummed at all! Always knew it would be a reach hahaha UCLA bound! Good luck to you future ivies we’ll all make a difference in the world

@cvisser96‌ literally: same dude. It’s been 8 hours and I don’t want to go to sleep because I’m scared it’ll all have just been a dream when I wake up.
i"m literally sending an email to CC tech support to change my username to Homeless2Princeton
GO TIGERS!!!

@2562ivy Princeton does not give any merit scholarships but there may be private scholarships (not through Princeton) that you could consider applying for.

Accepted. I’m stunned to say the least, but super happy! Congratulations everyone else

@cantiger Thank you. Any recommendation one? He received the $2500 from NMSC and that’s it for us. At least Princeton tuition is less than other top schools!

Accepted. I was deferred from SCEA so this was a complete surprise. Princeton has been something more than a dream and it feels so surreal especially because I got rejected from 9/11 colleges. Colgate was my other acceptance (I am an international and asked for loads of aid so that kind of makes sense) but I am absolutely ecstatic because even if I would have gotten in all 11 of those places I would have chosen Princeton so I’m glad I didn’t ‘take’ anyone’s spot.

@Ambitious19 I still remeber your inspiring presence on the SCEA thread. I am so happy to hear that you got into such amazing places. A friend of mine is a freshman there and he is having the time of his life. Another friend was accepted for 2019. I can assure you you will enjoy it most.

Congratulations to all those who were accepted ANYWHERE. I am pretty sure that each one of you, regardless of being accepted at Princeton, are destined to achieve a lot in life. I know rejections don’t feel nice but many years from now, when we are hopefully successful people, I am quite sure we will reminisce about these moments and have a good laugh

My son was accepted to Princeton and Yale after some disappointing rejections and waitlists from other schools over the past 2 weeks. Couldn’t be happier. Princeton seems like it would be a very good fit.

@2562ivy Unfortunately we are internationals so can’t help with recommendations for specific scholarships. I do know a friend of my son’s was able to apply for some “women in engineering” scholarships in her area as well as some from her magnet school. Others on this forum may be able to make more specific recommendations.
