Each year the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students works with the graduating senior class (that just graduated) to create a "Freshman Letter" for incoming first-years at Princeton. It's distributed just before classes start, once the students are on campus. I think this year's is lovely and wanted to share: Freshman Letter

Love it! Thanks for posting!

Thanks for posting too! But the captions were kind of cliche–like a really long Hallmark card. I love Phillip Phillip’s “Home” though and it was an excellent song choice for the incoming college students. It was also used as the theme for NBC’s gymnastics Olympic coverage.

I saw the one for 2015, as well. Thanks for sharing this!

It makes me just a little sad that my son chose MIT over Princeton…I love Princeton but he made the right choice for him. :-)

^^^^^^^Sorry Sbjdorlo, I tried to tell you!!!

Son loves, loves his alma mater!! He’s going to be one of those that goes to Reunions every year…has since his sophomore year!

And to all the freshman parents, just wait til graduation…unbelievable. And just so you know he met his very best friends there AND his significant other. He just got back from a wedding on the other side of the country and a ton of them were all in attendance, church full of a bunch of tigers, bride and groom as well. Some came as far as Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bejiing and Paris.

It truly was/is a life changing experience for my son!

Kat
and my son chose Princeton over MIT!

Well, my son has never had one moment of looking back. He is so happy at MIT! He’s with his people, what can I say?! LOL

It’s me who wants to go! That architecture alone is enough to make me pine. :-)

I love hearing about how happy your son was there. Our other two friends there are very happy, as well.

sbjdorlo - Did you attend your son’s convocation ceremony?
If not, it’s here to watch:

I didn’t attend as I was doing a Target run at the time-sniff!

The link didn’t work for me for some reason, but I’ll keep trying. Thanks for posting it.:-)
