A single sitting score of
2400, 1600(M & CR)/2350+, 1600(M & CR)/2300+ is better than any superscore according to school GC.

but the stats on the website are based on superscoring right?

so i guess colleges are not to be trusted when they say they only look at the superscore :(

they might think that she spent all of her years studying standardized tests instead of doing school work…

Think of the subconscious effects…

Also, how are you already in Princeton '13? Are you an athlete, or did you defer enrollment from last year?

you’re right, i’m deferred.

Referring to the girl described by the OP: The world is littered with lazy geniuses. Reject.

The world is even more littered with mediocre ambitious people; that has no bearing on the issue.

Think about, if we define genius to be the top .5% of the population, how many geniuses there are in the US. About 15 million, I believe. And how many spots are there at HYPS? While I sympathize with the OP and hope for the best, this case is statistically guaranteed to not be too uncommon.

You’re missing a decimal place. 0.5% of the population of America is ~1.5 million.

But there are only about 1.5 million college bound seniors that take the SAT… so that would be closer to 7,5oo and there are probably about that many accepted to HYPS in a year.

Rejection.

WEll she applied. I’ll update you guys in April!
