<p>So I got to the last verification page and looked at my print previews, only to see that they were NOT "exactly as I intend" them to look. Several of my sections have words/info cut off - the 150 word personal statement, my EC descriptions, and my uploaded documents. None of these things exceed the limits on the forms, but they're not in the pdf generated by Common App.</p>
<p>Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to fix it?</p>
<p>The number of characters or words they tell you as a limit is just a guideline. The print preview shows the exact space available. Colleges are aware of the problem and a lot of people end up submitting with words cut off, but you should try to edit so that if colleges download the Preview version of your app they can see everything that you intend for them to see. (They do have the option of downloading a version that is the whole file and viewing it electronically and can then see the whole thing, but there’s no way to know if your school will do this.)</p>
