I received Priority status for applying and it says I will be automatically considered for partial merit scholarships, but it doesn’t say which ones. Are they just unnamed scholarships? In that case, I will have to personally apply for the full-tuition/total-cost/Community Service Fellowship scholarships, correct?
There is no such thing as a Priority Application, its just a marketing tool to encourage applications. All applications are automatically considered for merit scholarships. There are separate applications for Community Service, Paul Tulane and the Deans Honor scholarships
Basically repeating what was said above, but all applicants are automatically considered for merit scholarships of up to $32,000. Full scholarship opportunities (Dean’s Honor, Paul Tulane) do require a separate application, as does the Community Service Fellowship, which I believe is for $15,000. Other benefits listed as part of “priority status” (i.e. free application, etc.) are also available to everyone.
Tulane priority application is a gimmick. Only school my daughter rejected from and delayed ea to regular but at that point never submitted first semester grades. They look for interest and she was not interested. If you are interested in Tulane the only advantage is no application fee but other than that no advantages. Admittedly they were correct in the denial as she would not have attended and only applied for the free application.
