I filled out the summer and fall housing contracts a while back, however I recently made an agreement with a roommate and put priority to the roommate rather than the hall. His priority is 2059 which is the lowest of the two. My question is can we get either Reynolds or Cawthon hall with that priority number and room together or is that number to low?

I think they go by the higher priority number, not the lower one. I’m sure someone else will weigh in to let you know for sure. What is the higher priority number of the two?

Mine which is 1636. His is 2059.

They go by whoever’s priority number is worse for incoming residents.

If you are assigned based off a priority number of 2059 though, I doubt you will end up in either Cawthon or Reynolds. Cawthon is almost solely LLCs (WIMSE and the Music LLC). Reynolds however requires filling out the Wellness Agreement (this is according to Housing, though, who aren’t always 100%…), which is required for you to even be considered for that building. It would be a stretch to get Reynolds, especially if you two weren’t in either of the LLCs.

I would say though that it is possible. You two will likely end up being roommates in a suite style dorm.

@Pasbal our third choice was Gilchrist which only houses like 345 people. Any advice if we can get that choice and what would be a good 4th choice similar to Reynolds and cawthon

I meant what Pasbal said. I didn’t realize you meant his was worse than yours. Sorry.

Gilchrist is almost solely Honors overflow. Someone posted a while back that they had a priority number of something like 100 and weren’t able to get into Gilchrist.

If you like the layout, Wildwood and DeGraff are exact clones of each other, and they each have 700 spots.

I forgot that Cawthon had almost 300 spots. I guess I was mixing it up with Broward, which is tiny. I don’t think that either of the LLCs are that large in Cawthon.

For your fourth my suggestions are DeGraff, Wildwood, or Salley. Don’t feel like you aren’t going to get a suite-style dorm (since that appears to be what you are aiming for). There’s 3735 spots between all of the suite-style dorms (according to Housing). You have a number though that I don’t know much about where people usually end up.

My gut right now would be to say that if Cawthon and Reynolds are your 1st and 2nd choices, you will end up in one of those. I’d recommend though that just in case, you and your friend fill out the Wellness agreement in case it’s required to live in Reynolds (and not just required for the Wellness LLC). I am not 100% sure but I seem to recall that when I was applying for housing my freshman year (but then again, everything’s changed since then), to live in Reynolds at all you had to fill out that agreement.

Yeah I filled out the agreement for the Reynolds. I like wildwood but I heard the 700 spots spread like wildfire and degraff is on the opposite side which I don’t really like.

Does anyone know when we find out our housing assignment for summer C

For incoming freshmen, Summer C housing is mailed to you in early June, and then Fall/Spring housing is mailed to you in early July. :)
