Can anyone recommend a private high school in the Boston area that would accept a hard working "B" student?

I would hope that ALL schools would accept hard-working “B” students. Any school that would not consider such a student is probably not worth looking at.

Freshman or as a transfer?

What are you looking for? more academic rigor for someone who is underachieving out of boredom? or a less pressure situation for a bright student who needs a less stressful situation.

I read some of your other posts.

If this is for the daughter who has issues in middle school, look into the Waldorf School.

“WHS is an alternative to the high stress, high pressure high school education. At WHS students thrive in an environment where they have a community of friends and teachers interested and involved in their progress and success. WHS students excel both academically and socially in our supportive and nurturing learning environment.”

There are many private high schools in the Boston area. A “B” student is relative to where you are coming from, what the program is like, etc. There are many good private schools in the area that are not super-competitive and will give your child a good education. Are you looking for boarding or day? In the city, North, South, etc? PM me if you’d like.

There are a few threads about Boston area high schools:

Just a few that I found with a quick search.

Thanks to all. Is anyone familiar with Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall?

Any one has info on the school culture, academics, students, and faculty of Nobles? I know it is known for athletics, but how good are the academics and teachers?
