<p>Anyone have experience iwth Harker, San Jose; College Prep. School (CPS), Oakland; or Head Royce, Oakland? Which one has the strongest Math and Science program.</p>

<p>a ton of my friends went to harker.
very very strong math and science department. check out the course catalog they have an extensive and diverse offering of classes in both those departments. the physics class i sat in on had about 10 people in it. also if you want science-med internships in the area harker really has some strong connections. i also know a couple people at cps and head royce, strong schools, high ivy placement, strong debate programs, thats all i know. oh and cps looks like a chalet sunk into the oakland hills =]</p>

i'm planning to apply there along with other boarding schools, and i've heard of their reputation and discipline, and i'm pretty impressed. for a day school, they sure have big achievements (not that day schools aren't as good as boarding schools, but it tends to lean on boarding schools when it comes to quality)
and what blau bik said makes me feel confident about harker, but I just want to know more about it in a personal view. thanksss :)</p>
